MCP (Model Context Protocol)
An open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external tools and data sources through a common interface.
MCP was introduced by Anthropic in November 2024. An application exposes an MCP server, and any compatible assistant can then read its data or call its actions without a custom integration.
For a CRM, it means asking an assistant questions about your records or their data quality in plain language, with the assistant fetching the answer from the tool itself.
